What steps should I follow so all beverages sold in my school and/or district are aligned with the Guidelines?

• Step 1: Adopt the Guidelines as your district beverage policy
• Step 2: Develop a list of the venues that sell beverages to students in your school or district and determine the department, faculty member or administrator who is responsible for each venue
• Step 3: Meet with the staff members responsible for each venue regarding how to proceed with making these changes now
• Step 4: Engage your school or district business officer for any contracts you will be amending
• Step 5: Include student and faculty representatives early and often in this process
• Step 6: Consider other healthy fundraisers to raise additional funds for discretionary spending
