Alabama Students Win Video Challenge

Earlier this year, the Alliance challenged schools across the country to document healthy changes in their school and submit a short video about their findings. We received scores of videos from all across the country, but there was one clear winner: the healthy students at Homewood High School in Homewood, Alabama.

In conjunction with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Center for Childhood Obesity, the Alliance awarded Homewood High a prize of $5,000. Three runners up from Thurgood Marshall Middle School in Temple Hills, Maryland, Plattsmouth Middle School in Plattsmouth, Nebraska, and Encinal High School in Alameda, California were named as runners up and each received awards of $2,000.
