The empowerME Movement has created a variety of tools to empower kids to make healthy lifestyle choices and inspire them to lead change. We encourage youth and community leaders to download the resources and start implementing them in their own community.
empowerME4Life To teach kids the basics of healthy eating and living active lifestyles, the Alliance created a free, 8-session healthy living course — empowerME4Life. The course is age-appropriate, culturally relevant, targeted to kids ages 8-12; and can be facilitated by older youth or adult allies. When young people learn to make small changes in what they eat and how active they are, they can make a big difference in their health over time.
empowerME@school empowerME@school mobilizes students in middle and high school to successfully improve the nutritional quality of the snacks and drinks in their schools. Many schools are making positive changes in the food and beverages sold to students, but it can be a struggle. Because students are the most affected by these changes, engaging them is especially important. In fact, schools that report the most success in making changes to their snack and drink offerings identify student engagement as critical. Thus, the Alliance developed empowerME@school to equip students with tools to mobilize for change. This toolkit can also be adapted for students to implement school gardens or add more physical activity into their school environment.

Youth-Hosted Forum Playbook We believe youth are smarter, more connected, and more passionate than ever. However, young people need resources and a platform to let their voices be heard. Our Youth-Hosted Forums convene youth to lead and participate in discussions that celebrate strides they are making to solve the childhood obesity problem and highlight what else youth can do to move the progress meter even more. This Playbook is for anyone wishing to plan and implement a Youth-Hosted Forum.
empowerme2b.org The Alliance launched an interactive web site for tweens and teens to get kids excited about eating better and moving more. After making a commitment to better health, kids download tips and tools and share their story.
