Podcast: Becoming Bridge Builders
A Community-Based Approached to Solve Chronic Disease and Improve Public Health
At the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health, Novo Nordisk committed $20 million over the next three years to support improved access to healthy foods and safe spaces for physical activity in under-resourced communities, and to address upstream drivers of chronic disease. To achieve these goals, Novo Nordisk is collaborating with leading national children's health nonprofit Alliance for a Healthier Generation.
In this episode of the Becoming Bridge Builders podcast, Healthier Generation CEO Kathy Higgins and Apu Patel, director of US Corporate Sustainability and Social Impact for Novo Nordisk, talk with host Keith Haney about how their partnership is supporting food access in rural communities in North Carolina.
