Live a Healthy Year
How’s your year going? It’s almost that time when we get caught up in all that summer hustle and bustle of not really doing a whole lot. So it’s a great time to reflect on how our New Year’s Resolutions to eat better and move more are holding up and make a plan to live healthier starting today and then tomorrow and then the next day.
A great tool to get started or get back on track is the Be Well Book. Titled appropriately, A Year of Being Well, is a compilation of stories from moms, dads, kids, and caregivers about how their families didn’t follow a list of dos and don’ts but created a unique lifestyle for their families that improved health with nutrition and physical activity.
The Be Well Book is built around a 13 step structure. One step every month for a year and then one for good measure. The 13 steps break apart the different aspects of a well-rounded healthy lifestyle so that you can focus on one aspect a month like “Drop Liquid Calories,” get comfortable with it, and then move on to focus on something new.
The book is really just a perfect kick starter to get you and your family to think outside the box when it comes to your health. There’s no one-size-fits-all mold that you can squeeze your family into. We’re all different and need different things to keep us healthy and motivated to stay healthy. The Be Well Book helps you think about your health as your health and reminds you to take ownership of your health in a way that works for you.
