Smart Snacks: Countdown is On!
On July 1, 2014, the USDA’s Smart Snack in Schools standards will go into effect. These standards apply to all foods and beverages sold to students during the school day in schools’ vending machines, stores, snack carts and a la carte lines, as well as in-school fundraising.
We know change can be hard, and we’re here to help with a step-by-step guide, expert advice, healthy product lists and words of wisdom from schools who have already been successful.
We are counting down to July 1 with weekly tips, pins, resources and stories to Swap Your Snack that we hope you will find useful as you move your school towards implementing the Smart Snack standards.
