Krista Washington

Vice President, Brand & Communications | Alliance for a Healthier Generation

Krista Washington joined Healthier Generation in 2018 and serves as the Vice President, Brand and Communications. In this role, she is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of national marketing campaigns, media relations strategies, and cause marketing initiatives to increase organizational brand awareness, build brand equity, and support Healthier Generation’s programmatic and fundraising objectives. Krista brings nearly 15 years of experience working in change-focused marketing, communications, and philanthropy and previously served in leadership roles at various social change organizations including the East Bay Community Foundation, Coaching Corps, and the U.S. Soccer Foundation. 

When she’s not reading about the latest trending topics, Krista serves as a core organizer and holistic healing practitioner for the Freedom Community Clinic. Through Freedom Community Clinic, she launched THRIVE, a program that works with mission-driven organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area to provide employees with opportunities to decompress and build their self-care toolkit. A UNC Tar Heel for life, Krista works out of Oakland, California.
