Tracy Baird oversees all aspects of Healthier Generation’s finances, including the development and management of budgets, preparation of financial statements, and reporting to Healthier Generation’s executive leaders and board.
Tracy’s career in accounting and finance began with her first job at 16, from where she continued to grow her experience with incredible mentors in different industries to include private and public sectors. Her experience with nonprofit organizations came while pursuing a career change, realizing that her passion for teaching and the arts were also a business needing to be funded. Shifting gears, she began nonprofit grant writing and budgeting, program development and marketing, and eventually nonprofit administration by being the “jack of all things money.” This led to Tracy opening her own firm specializing in nonprofit and sole proprietors where, over the span of 10 years through progressive accounting and financial education, she helped to save 67 nonprofits and small businesses from closing their doors.
Tracy has maintained a focus on well-being and being well throughout her life and has found a home at Healthier Generation. She lives near Portland, Oregon, with her family, human and furry, and enjoys a variety of outdoor activities and travel adventures. An art and architecture historian, avid reader, geeky gamer, aspiring gourmet cook, and tinkering miniaturist, she continually seeks the joy of creativity and the pursuit of laughter.
