Get Started: Learning Activities for Whole Family Health

New interactive activities from Kohl’s Healthy at Home support healthy role models and families.

According to a recent study, adolescents who look up to a family member as a role model, hero, or mentor are more likely to experience positive physical and mental health outcomes than peers who look up to celebrities or other peers (Atif et al., 2022). When young people look up to parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and close family friends, it can have the biggest influence on a child’s well-being.

To support healthy role models, Kohl’s Healthy at Home has collaborated with community leaders and family health experts to create a series of interactive online learning activities called “Focusing on Family Connection.” Your family will find new ways to connect at home, at school, and in your community. Try all four of the 10-minute learning activities – AKA microlearnings – and get to know our collaborators. We can’t wait for you to bring what you learn to life with young children, teens, and adults.
