Types of Information Collected
If the Alliance collects information from you, it is only used for the purposes for which it was collected, and the other limited purposes outlined below.
The Alliance for a Healthier Generation’s websites collect two types of user information. The Alliance collects some non-personally identifiable information automatically and some from our registration forms and online surveys. Non-personally identifiable information might include your IP address, your browser type or operating system, the domain name from which you linked to our websites, your zip code, your age, and other general demographic information. The Alliance uses this non-personally identifiable information to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our websites; and may share it with our affiliates, or with our other business partners on an aggregated basis.
Alliance websites' donations, registration and contact forms, online surveys, and merchandise transactions may also request or require users to give the Alliance personally identifiable information (i.e. name, telephone number, home address and e-mail address). The Alliance may use the information from our donations form, registration form, merchandise purchase forms and surveys to contact the user, but users may opt-out of receiving future mailings by sending an email to Info@HealthierGeneration.org. The Alliance will not sell or disclose your personally identifiable data to any third party unless the Alliance: (ii) changes website hosts or our host transfers business assets (as further described below); (ii) first obtains permission from you; (iii) needs to share it with agents or contractors who perform services for the Alliance; or (iv) is required by law to disclose it.
You acknowledge that the information on the websites is provided “as is” for general information only. It is not intended, or to be construed, as medical advice, diagnosis and treatment, and is not a substitute for consultations with qualified health professionals who are familiar with your individual medical needs.
Disclaimer of Warranty
The Alliance provides the websites “as is” with all faults. The Alliance makes no warranties or guarantees of any kind, and expressly disclaim any and all warranties of any kind or nature, whether express, implied, or statutory regarding the websites, including but not limited to the accuracy, completeness, correctness, timeliness or usefulness of any information, programs, products, or services, or other material provided through the websites, or of reliability, non-infringement, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The Alliance makes no warranty or guarantee that your access to the websites will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error free, or free of viruses or other harmful elements, and such warranties are expressly disclaimed.
Limitation of Liability
In no event will the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, or its constituent member organizations, be liable to you, anyone claiming by through or under you or anyone else for (i) any decision or action taken, or not taken, in reliance upon the information contained or provided through the websites, (ii) arising out of or related to the websites, (iii) your use of the websites or (iv) for any incidental, indirect, special, consequential or punitive damages, including but not limited to, possible health side effects, loss of revenues, profits or savings, even if the Alliance knew or should have known of the possibility of such damages, claims, demands or actions.
Transfer of Business Assets
As our website host develops business, it may be acquired, merge with another business, or acquire or buy other businesses or assets. In such transactions, both personally and non-personally identifiable information will likely be one of the transferred assets.
