The BlueCross® BlueShield® of South Carolina Foundation has awarded a three-year grant to Alliance for a Healthier Generation to continue expanding school-based wellness efforts across South Carolina.
The grant will support efforts in 27 public-school districts, reaching approximately 350,000 students. Through nutrition, physical activity, and other wellness programming, participating schools and partners will work together to address risk factors for Type 2 diabetes and promote healthier environments for students.
