Healthier Generation Expands Childhood Vaccination Efforts in North Carolina Through GSK's COiMMUNITY Initiative
Funding will support local efforts to strengthen childhood vaccination access, confidence, and uptake in Durham and Guilford counties.
Through GSK’s COiMMUNITY Initiative, Alliance for a Healthier Generation has been awarded funding to support the implementation of its Childhood Health Partnership model for Durham and Guilford counties in North Carolina. This funding will support locally driven efforts to strengthen childhood vaccination access, confidence, and uptake by addressing systemic barriers through collaboration and community engagement.
“This funding allows us to build on proven approaches that center community voice and cross-sector collaboration to improve childhood vaccination outcomes,” said Shauvon Simmons-Wright, Senior Director of Programs and Strategy, Alliance for a Healthier Generation. “Together, we can ensure that every young person has the foundation of good health they need to thrive—starting with access to and confidence in life-saving vaccines.”
Through this initiative, Healthier Generation will identify key systemic gaps and co-create strategies to build vaccination access, confidence, and uptake, increase partnerships across school communities, strengthen school-based events for children and families.
