Madeline Moritsch

National Advisor, Whole Child Health – Nutrition and Food Access

Madeline Moritsch is a National Advisor on the Whole Child Health team, focusing on Nutrition and Food Access. Through the development of tools, resources, and training, Madeline helps schools, districts, and community partners create equitable environments that support whole child health.

With backgrounds in community food access and nutrition education, Madeline has spent 10+ years supporting equitable, community-based solutions throughout California. Prior to joining Healthier Generation in 2019, Madeline connected students and families to federal and community-based food bank services such as SNAP, food pantries, and backpack programs. Additionally, Madeline provided nutrition education to elementary school children, focusing on developing cooking skills using culturally relevant foods. Madeline is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and holds a Master of Science in Nutrition.

Madeline lives in sunny San Diego, California with her partner and rescue dog. She loves running by the ocean, hiking in National Parks, and playing music. You can normally find her on the beach enjoying a burrito from one of many amazing Mexican eateries in San Diego.
