Josephine Thomason

National Advisor, Whole Child Health – Nutrition and Food Access

Josephine Thomason is a National Advisor, Whole Child Health with a focus on Nutrition and Food Access. In this role, she provides technical assistance, training, and professional development to schools, districts, and out-of-school time (OST) organizations with a focus on the areas of child nutrition services, federal regulation implementation, and food access. 

Josephine works to support schools, districts, and OST organizations as they work towards creating healthy environments that are consistent with regulations and best practices. In her role, she coordinates the development of new tools and resources while working to enhance those that exist, and managing their effective roll out, utilization, and tracking across Healthier Generation initiatives. 

Prior to joining Healthier Generation, Josephine spent more than two decades in food and nutrition management providing training and technical assistance to schools participating in child nutrition programs. Josephine is a Registered Dietitian and holds a Master’s in Nutrition Education and Health Promotion.

Josephine lives in sunny Florida with her human and furry family members. She enjoys bike riding, cooking, and spending time in nature.
